Social Media Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Social Media Team Lead to head our social media department and drive high‑impact campaigns for top brands such as MTN, UBA and Tecno. The role combines strategic planning, content oversight and team leadership to strengthen brand presence across digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor the Social Media Team to produce quality content and campaigns.
• Develop and execute comprehensive social media and online branding strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage brand voice, messaging consistency and community engagement across all platforms.
• Oversee content calendars, campaign execution and paid social initiatives, including influencer partnerships.
• Analyze performance metrics, generate reports and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging platforms to keep brands relevant.
• Collaborate with marketing, design, content and product teams for cohesive brand communication.
• Support brand reputation management and respond to online engagement challenges.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience managing social media and online branding for established brands in telecom, banking, technology or FMCG.
• Demonstrated success in growing brand visibility, audience engagement and business impact.
• Experience leading and managing creative or social media teams in fast‑paced, performance‑driven environments.
