Site Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to lead concrete works on our construction projects in Lagos. The role involves supervising all on‑site activities, ensuring compliance with designs, quality standards and health & safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise concrete works including formwork, reinforcement, pouring, curing and inspections.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings to ensure accurate implementation on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, tradesmen and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct quality control checks such as concrete mix, slump and cube tests.
• Monitor materials, manpower, equipment and overall site progress.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes and HSE standards.
• Prepare daily and weekly site reports and work plans.
• Liaise with consultants and the Project Manager to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in building construction, especially reinforced concrete structures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality control and concrete testing methods.
• Leadership, project management and organisational abilities.
• Professional membership such as COREN or NSE is an advantage.
• Knowledge of MEP drawings is a plus.
