Shipping and Logistics Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Shipping and Logistics Officer to manage end‑to‑end shipping, clearing and forwarding operations for our clients in Lagos. The role involves coordinating shipments, handling customs documentation and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end shipping, clearing and forwarding activities.
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to clients.
• Prepare, manage and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including FORM M and PAAR.
• Liaise with clients, customs agents, transporters, terminals and vendors.
• Support cargo assessment processes, including B’Odogwu assessments where applicable.

Required profile

• Proven experience in shipping, clearing and forwarding (minimum 3 years).
• Practical knowledge of FORM M, PAAR and related import/export documentation.
• Understanding of B’Odogwu assessment procedures.
• Strong organizational, coordination and documentation abilities.
• Professional appearance, detail‑oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with logistics management systems.
• Handling of customs documentation and import/export forms.
