Senior Manager, ITTS Advisory (International Tax)

About the role

The Senior Manager leads teams of professional staff on international tax projects and takes part in business development for the unit and the firm. The role also covers managing and monitoring project operations so that assignments meet the firm's standards for quality, risk management, engagement economics and cash collection.

Key responsibilities

• Lead teams and give technical advice to clients on cross-border tax advisory, tax restructuring, tax due diligence and regulatory services such as NOTAP and PSI approvals.
• Drive business development by identifying new service opportunities and managing marketing initiatives to grow client relationships.
• Manage client, regulator and external party relationships, acting as liaison between clients' project teams and authorities such as tax authorities, NOTAP and the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission.
• Provide tax insights, champion thought leadership and stay up to date on tax law changes, communicating implications to the firm and clients.
• Apply quality project management strategies, monitor progress, manage resources and resolve challenges to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Supervise, coach, train and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• Degree from an accredited tertiary institution with a minimum of second-class upper division or equivalent.
• Mandatory membership of a professional body: ICAN, ACCA or CITN.
• At least 10 years of experience in international tax services, preferably in a multinational corporation or professional services firm.
• Proven track record of managing complex international tax projects and strong business development skills.
