Senior Business Development Executive

About the role

Citywide Solutions Limited is seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to lead the growth of its shipping and logistics services in Nigeria. The role focuses on driving enterprise‑level revenue, building strategic partnerships, and managing key corporate accounts across sectors such as FMCG, healthcare, and e‑commerce.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a commercial strategy to meet aggressive quarterly and annual revenue targets, identifying new market opportunities in corporate delivery, last‑mile fulfillment and healthcare distribution.
• Target, pitch and negotiate enterprise‑grade retainer contracts with mid‑market and blue‑chip clients, preparing competitive proposals, tenders and service level agreements.
• Identify and close synergistic partnerships with freight forwarders, e‑commerce platforms, retail chains and regional hub operators to expand Citywide’s network footprint.
• Collaborate with Operations and Customer Experience teams to ensure high service standards, conduct quarterly business reviews and drive up‑selling and cross‑selling initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and build a high‑performance business development team, implement structured CRM management, sales KPIs and pipeline tracking.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 96 months of relevant experience in B2B sales or business development.
• Proven track record of acquiring and managing enterprise clients in logistics, FMCG, manufacturing or e‑commerce sectors.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to craft profitable commercial proposals and SLAs.
• Experience in building strategic partnerships and channel expansion.
• Leadership experience in managing and coaching sales teams.
