Senior Accountant – Finance Operations

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the financial operations of Swan Medico Ltd., a pharmaceutical distribution company based in Abuja. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Finance, you will ensure accurate tracking of local and international transactions while supporting the company’s commitment to disciplined precision and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and currencies.
• Validate and attach proper documentation for all company expenses.
• Track and reconcile monthly customer pre‑payment receipts and report issues to senior management.
• Manage supplier payments, including currency conversions from NGN to foreign currencies.
• Monitor and verify international transfers from Nigeria to overseas bank accounts.
• Maintain comprehensive financial records in line with company policies.
• Oversee stock control, register deviations and report to the CEO and Global Head of Finance.
• Assist the Global Head of Finance with reporting, documentation and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably with a Big Four background.
• Proven ability to work independently and maintain clear, accurate records.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or SAP.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation, expense management, multi‑currency transactions and stock keeping.
• Detail‑oriented, punctual and proactive problem‑solver.
