Security Investigation Lead

About the role
Dangote Cement Plc is looking for an experienced and highly ethical Security Investigation Lead to oversee complex fraud, misconduct, and forensic investigations across all cement plant operations in Nigeria. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on investigative work to protect the company’s assets, reputation, and operational integrity.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and conduct sensitive investigations involving fraud, theft, misconduct and policy violations.
- Plan, coordinate and execute investigations in line with labor laws, legal requirements and the Dangote Cement Code of Conduct.
- Gather, analyse and evaluate evidence, interview stakeholders and present findings to Security Leadership, Internal Audit and HR.
- Prepare detailed, evidence‑based reports and brief senior management regularly.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities, recoveries and operational improvements from investigative outcomes.
- Develop recommendations to strengthen controls and mitigate current and future risks.
- Maintain secure, auditable investigation records compliant with data‑protection standards.
- Monitor emerging fraud and cybersecurity threats and promote best investigative practices.
- Mentor investigation personnel and drive continuous improvement across security operations.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in fraud investigation, forensic investigation, investigative audits, risk management or compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Criminology or a related field.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) qualification is mandatory.
- Membership or certification with a recognised forensic or investigative professional body (e.g., CIFIAN) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ethical standards, professionalism and accountability.
Required skills
- Strong investigative and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks governing investigations.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
