Sales Executive (Freight Forwarding)

About the role

The Sales Executive will drive new business and expand the customer base for Sunrose Consulting’s freight forwarding services. You will work closely with operations and pricing teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery of logistics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate sales leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, field prospecting and industry events.
• Qualify leads, maintain a pipeline in CRM, and track progress toward targets.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new customers across Ocean Freight, Air Freight, Customs Clearance and related services.
• Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, customise proposals and quotations, and negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Collaborate with Operations and Pricing to ensure smooth service delivery and support receivable collection.
• Produce regular sales reports on prospecting, pipeline development and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of B2B field sales experience, preferably in logistics or freight forwarding.
• Proven ability to prospect, develop new business opportunities and acquire customers.
• Strong knowledge of logistics services, industry trends and market dynamics.
• Existing network within the Lagos importer/exporter market is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using CRM systems for pipeline management.
• Effective internet navigation and research abilities.
