Sales Engineer – Technical Solutions for Energy & Utilities

About the role

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to drive technical sales of our boiler, steam and energy‑efficiency solutions across Lagos and the surrounding region. The role combines customer‑facing consultancy with product expertise to generate new business and support existing accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and propose technical solutions using our boilers, steam accessories, steam traps, heat exchangers and energy‑efficiency products.
• Travel extensively to visit clients, maintain call schedules and record activities in the CRM system.
• Achieve order‑booking targets (value and volume) as defined in the Annual Business Plan.
• Coordinate offers, orders, payments and after‑sales service with head‑office and branch teams.
• Provide accurate order forecasts, lead and prospect reports to support business growth.
• Identify and maximise cross‑selling opportunities across multiple product lines.
• Manage the enquiry process from lead generation to order closure, including OEM, consultant and EPC relationships.
• Contribute inputs for new product development, pricing strategies and market entry analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in thermal and steam engineering, boilers, absorption chillers or water/air pollution control systems.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally in a matrix organisation.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria and possession of a valid driver’s licence and passport.
