Resident Pastor

About the role

The Resident Pastor provides spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation in Arepo, Ogun State. This full‑time position involves preaching, teaching, counseling, and guiding members and families while driving church growth and community outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Preach and teach the Word of God, lead prayer, worship and discipleship activities.
• Provide counseling, visitation, and pastoral support to individuals, families, and groups.
• Develop and implement strategies for church revitalisation, member engagement and sustainable growth.
• Lead evangelism, missions, community outreach and follow‑up initiatives.
• Strengthen Bible studies, small groups, discipleship programmes and leadership‑development activities.
• Collaborate with church leaders, ministry heads, workers and volunteers to coordinate programmes.
• Mentor emerging leaders and empower ministry workers.
• Maintain effective communication, ministry records and follow‑up systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in pastoral ministry, church leadership or a related role.
• Strong commitment to Christian faith, biblical principles and sound doctrine.
• Proven ability to preach, teach, disciple, counsel and provide pastoral care.
• Leadership and team‑management skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
• High integrity, humility, accountability and servant‑leadership attitude.
