Regional Hub IT Officer

About the role

The Regional Hub IT Officer will serve as the local extension of CIPE’s Washington‑based IT team, supporting technology implementation, cybersecurity monitoring, and user assistance for the Lagos hub. Reporting to the Director of IT at CIPE HQ, the role blends on‑site presence with remote collaboration to align IT solutions with regional program needs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with local and HQ stakeholders to capture technology needs for regional projects.
• Identify, lead, and implement technology solutions, working with local vendors and developers.
• Provide user support in partnership with local vendors and the CIPE Helpdesk.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and deploy them to support CIPE programming.
• Conduct cyber‑security and risk assessments, monitor threats, and promote a strong security culture.
• Ensure compliance with regional data‑protection and privacy regulations.
• Develop and implement hub‑specific IT policies, standards, and procedures.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory, update technical documentation, and create training materials for staff.

Required profile

• Hybrid work arrangement with three days per week onsite in Lagos.
• Reports to the Director of IT, CIPE HQ, and works closely with the Regional Hub Director.
• Ability to collaborate with both local and international teams.
