Python Open Source Contributor (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Python Open Source Contributor to work remotely on our client’s projects. The contractor will help improve production‑quality code, perform reviews and create documentation for open‑source repositories that are part of the solution.

Key responsibilities

• Write, review and document production‑grade code in Python and other languages.
• Design, implement and optimise algorithms and system components using C++, Python, Java, GoLang, Typescript or Rust.
• Identify, debug and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks and bugs in existing codebases.
• Collaborate with other contributors and stakeholders to ensure deliverables align with project goals and best practices.
• Maintain and enhance technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Participate in code discussions and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Previous experience contributing to large‑scale, distributed codebases.
• Familiarity with modern AI or machine‑learning systems is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong background in rigorous code reviews and software best‑practice development.
