Public Health Advisor

About the role

The Public Health Advisor will deliver health education and preventive guidance to individuals and communities in Lagos. You will support outreach initiatives, health screenings, and wellness programs while maintaining accurate client records.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional health education and preventive advice to clients and community members.
• Conduct basic health and wellness assessments, identifying risk factors.
• Educate on nutrition, lifestyle, hygiene, disease prevention, and wellness practices.
• Assist in planning and executing health screenings, seminars, outreach campaigns, and awareness events.
• Promote preventive healthcare services and follow up with clients to encourage healthy behavior.
• Maintain detailed records of client interactions, education activities, and referrals.
• Refer clients to qualified medical professionals when further assessment is needed.
• Build relationships with community organizations, employers, and healthcare stakeholders.
• Participate in public health campaigns and stay updated on health trends and policies.
• Prepare basic reports on activities, client engagement, and outcomes.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Public Health, Community Health, Health Education, Nursing, Nutrition, or related field.
• Relevant professional certification is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of preventive healthcare and health promotion.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to engage diverse populations and work both independently and in a team.
• Good organizational and record‑keeping skills.
