Printing Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Printing Operator to run and monitor extrusion machines in our manufacturing facility. The role involves setting up equipment, ensuring product quality, and meeting daily production targets while adhering to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion machines efficiently and safely.
• Set up machines according to production specifications and load raw materials.
• Adjust and control machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and airflow.
• Monitor film thickness, width, clarity and overall product quality, making adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot common extrusion issues and minimise waste and downtime.
• Inspect finished films and rolls for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Carry out routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records and report faults promptly.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years proven experience operating extrusion machines.
• Experience in flexible packaging, polythene, nylon, or plastic film manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of extrusion processes, machine setup, and quality control.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet production targets and maintain attention to detail.
• Relevant technical qualification or certification is an added advantage.
