Extruder Operator

About the role

The Extruder Operator will run and monitor extrusion equipment to produce high‑quality plastic films for flexible packaging. Working on the shop floor at the Sango Ota Industrial Estate, you will ensure safe, efficient operation while meeting daily production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Set up extrusion machines according to production specifications.
• Load raw materials and adjust parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and airflow.
• Monitor film thickness, width, clarity and overall product quality, making adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot common machine and production issues to minimise waste and downtime.
• Inspect finished rolls for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records and report faults promptly.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience operating extrusion machines.
• Experience in flexible packaging, polythene, nylon or plastic film manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety and quality.
• Relevant technical qualification or certification is an advantage.
