Preschool and Early Years Teacher

About the role

A warm, caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher is sought to join a team in Surulere, Lagos, making learning a joyful experience for every child. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Create fun, engaging and age-appropriate play-based learning experiences.
• Introduce children to phonics, early literacy, numeracy and basic life skills.
• Support children's cognitive, language, physical and social-emotional development.
• Observe and track developmental milestones and celebrate each child's progress.
• Encourage creativity, confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom.
• Build positive relationships with parents and fellow educators.

Required profile

• NCE, B.Ed. or equivalent qualification in Education or Early Childhood Education.
• Previous preschool or nursery teaching experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of EYFS, Montessori and play-based learning is a plus.
• Genuine love for children, patience, creativity and a nurturing spirit.
