People & Culture Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic People & Culture Manager to lead our HR function in Lagos. The role will partner with senior leadership to shape people strategies that drive growth, engagement and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement people and culture strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Advise leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement and organizational development.
• Lead talent acquisition, ensuring a seamless candidate and onboarding experience.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives to boost collaboration, productivity and retention.
• Oversee performance management, including goal setting, reviews and development plans.
• Identify capability gaps and coordinate learning and development programs.
• Manage employee relations, conflict resolution and workplace concerns.
• Ensure compensation, benefits and reward programs remain competitive.
• Maintain compliance with Nigerian labour legislation and internal policies.
• Review and improve HR policies, processes and systems.
• Monitor key people metrics and provide strategic insights.
• Support change‑management initiatives and foster a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement.
• Oversee office administration and workplace operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology or related field.
• 5–8 years of HR or People Operations experience, with at least 2 years leading HR initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle management and organizational development.
• In‑depth understanding of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Analytical mindset with experience using HR data for decision‑making.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
