Packaging Machine Maintenance Expert

About the role

The Packaging Machine Maintenance Expert will ensure high‑speed sachet and pouch packaging lines run reliably by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on Universal Pack and Shubham machines. You will work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and continuously improve equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, mechanical adjustments, servicing and major overhauls of Universal Pack and Shubham packaging machines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, sealing, dosing and control faults to minimise production downtime.
• Inspect and replace high‑wear components such as multi‑lane dosing pumps, cutting blades, thermal sealing blocks and multi‑track hoppers.
• Set up, align, change‑over and synchronise critical mechanical and packaging components.
• Monitor and adjust machine speed, web tension, sealing temperature and dosing parameters for optimal production quality.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic circuits, cylinders, valves, regulators and sensors used in the machinery.
• Perform basic electrical fault‑finding and PLC‑related diagnostics affecting machine operation.
• Support operators with autonomous maintenance tasks and early identification of abnormalities.
• Document maintenance activities, faults, spare parts used and equipment performance.

Required profile

• OND, HND, B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years hands‑on experience maintaining high‑speed multi‑lane sachet or pouch packaging machines in FMCG or similar environments, with proven work on Universal Pack and Shubham machines.
