O.U.T Artist Residency – Lagos (Aug 25 – Sep 7 2026)

About the role

The O.U.T Residency, created by the Kokopelli Art Foundation, offers a small cohort of artists an intensive, production‑focused period in Lagos. Participants will work under a structured schedule that prioritises output and critical engagement with the city’s cultural landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and produce new artwork during the residency period (Aug 25 – Sep 7, 2026).
• Engage in organized exchanges and dialogues with fellow residents and local stakeholders.
• Participate in critical discussions that connect the work to Lagos’s urban context.
• Present completed works at the public exhibition opening on Sep 11‑12, 2026.

Required profile

• Artist of African origin or heritage, residing on the continent or in the diaspora.
• Minimum of two years of sustained artistic practice.
• Full‑time availability for the entire residency period and exhibition dates.
• Willingness to work under rigorous, output‑oriented conditions.
