Modern Workplace Specialist (IT)

About the role

The Modern Workplace Specialist will manage end‑user devices, ensure inventory accuracy, and drive the digitisation of meeting rooms and boardrooms for MTN Nigeria. The role focuses on delivering seamless operational efficiency through Microsoft 365 tools and modern workplace solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑user devices, inventory, procurement, and disposal lifecycle.
• Modernise and digitise meeting rooms, boardrooms and webinar streaming.
• Administer Microsoft 365 E5 licences and ensure tools support staff productivity.
• Oversee device onboarding for new hires and optimise device specifications.
• Lead the end‑user support team, application deployment, patches and OS updates.
• Contribute to IT/IS service strategy, budgeting and technical business cases.

Required profile

• First degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Fluent in English.
• 3‑7 years of IT service support and delivery experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a medium to large organisation.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 (E5) administration.
• ITIL v3 certification.
• CompTIA A+ certification.
• Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification.
