Machinery Engineer – Maintenance & Diagnostics

About the role

The Machinery Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of both light and heavy machinery used by the company. This full‑time, onsite position involves diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, and keeping detailed service records.

Key responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests on machinery and analyse results.
• Troubleshoot engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Inspect electrical and lighting systems.
• Conduct test runs to gauge performance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Maintain detailed service records and parts inventory.
• Follow inspection checklists and safety procedures.

Required profile

• HND or BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Good time‑management and organisational abilities.
