Laboratory Technician – Physics

About the role

The Laboratory Technician will support physics practical classes by guiding students, maintaining the stock register, recording student entry and exit, and issuing and collecting apparatus as needed. Remuneration will not be a constraint for a deserving candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Guide students during practical physics classes, assisting them with experiment setup and execution.
• Maintain the stock register of laboratory apparatus, ensuring accurate inventory of all equipment.
• Maintain student entry and exit records for each lab session to monitor attendance and safety.
• Issue apparatus to students as required for their experiments, tracking allocation.
• Collect apparatus after use, verifying condition and returning items to storage.

Required profile

• Master Degree in Physics.
