Laboratory Technician

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Laboratory Technician to join our team in Lagos. The role involves supporting scientists with routine laboratory tasks, ensuring equipment is well‑maintained, and upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in sample collection, labeling, and preparation.
• Perform centrifugation, pipetting, slide preparation, and other routine support tasks.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, conduct early fault checks, and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Prepare reagents, consumables, and materials for scientific tests.
• Document activities accurately in logbooks and electronic systems.
• Follow quality control instructions and report any unusual findings or equipment issues promptly.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Science Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
• Basic working knowledge of laboratory procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and a calm attitude during busy periods.
• Ability to follow instructions consistently and maintain confidentiality.
