KYC/AML Analyst

About the role

The KYC/AML Analyst will join Work Evolve Limited’s compliance team in Lagos, supporting the company’s commitment to regulatory excellence. You will be responsible for verifying customer identities, conducting due diligence and monitoring transactions to detect suspicious activity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct customer identity verification in line with AML/KYC policies and local regulations.
• Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for new and existing clients.
• Review and validate customer documentation for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor transactions, flagging unusual or suspicious activity for investigation.
• Maintain accurate AML/KYC records and ensure timely updates of customer information.
• Escalate potential compliance issues to internal teams and prepare related reports.
• Support internal audits and regulatory examinations as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Criminology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in AML, KYC, compliance, fraud, banking, fintech, gaming or digital identity.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ACAMS/CAMS, ICA AML, CFE, KYC/CDD, data‑privacy or financial‑crime compliance) strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Nigerian gaming regulation, AML expectations, responsible gambling and digital identity verification is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, investigative mindset and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Professional demeanor, good judgement in escalation and risk rating, and solid time‑management skills.
