About the role
HRLeverage Africa is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen and catering operations for a client in Surulere, Lagos. The role focuses on maintaining high food quality, ensuring hygiene compliance, and driving operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen and catering activities, guaranteeing meals meet quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Manage kitchen staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations.
- Monitor inventory, implement FIFO stock control, and reduce waste.
- Track kitchen costs, prepare operational reports, and support budget management.
- Handle food‑related complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and utilities in good working order.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality, Catering, Culinary Arts or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in kitchen or catering operations.
- Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Required skills
- HACCP knowledge and implementation.
- Food safety and hygiene standards.
- Inventory and cost control techniques.
