Junior Legal Officer

About the role

KOKO Group is seeking a motivated Junior Legal Officer to support its digital operations across media, technology, PR and fashion. The role combines corporate, commercial and regulatory law work for both Nigerian and international matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial, licensing and media contracts.
• Provide regulatory and compliance advice on Nigerian and international media and entertainment laws.
• Review marketing promotions, advertisements and advise on related legal issues.
• Respond to day‑to‑day legal queries from clients, partners, agencies and internal teams.
• Assist with customer complaints, external dispute resolution and litigation support.
• Assess legal and commercial risks and propose creative solutions.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and business development opportunities.

Required profile

• LL.B and BL qualification; LLM is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years post‑call experience, preferably a mix of law‑firm and in‑house work.
• Experience in corporate commercial law, contract drafting, regulatory advisory, litigation and company secretarial functions.
• Membership or progress in the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, strategic and communication skills in English.
