Java Backend Developer

About the role

The Backend Developer will design, build and maintain secure server‑side applications, databases and APIs that enable robust application logic, data processing and smooth integration with front‑end and third‑party services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server‑side code handling business rules and data processing.
• Design, implement and manage efficient databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs for communication between front‑end and back‑end components.
• Optimize back‑end performance for speed, scalability and efficiency.
• Implement security measures to protect data and prevent unauthorized access.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Java (mandatory)
• Node.js, Python or PHP (Laravel) – any additional stack is a plus.
• RESTful API development.
• Version control with Git.
• Cloud services – AWS.
• Web servers – Nginx, Apache.
• API testing tools – Postman.
• Microservices architecture.
• Experience with T24 core banking platform (advantageous).
