IT Support Engineer – Remote (up to $55/hr)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will provide Tier 2/3 assistance across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, helping non‑technical users solve hardware, software, and networking issues.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems on Windows, macOS, and Linux workstations.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in an ITSM ticketing system.
• Use networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) to fix connectivity and configuration issues.
• Provide clear, empathetic guidance to non‑technical end users via written and verbal communication.
• Contribute scenario‑based documentation and best‑practice process guides.
• Collaborate asynchronously within a fully remote engagement model.

Required profile

• Strong experience delivering Tier 2/3 IT support.
• Proven ability to perform root‑cause analysis for hardware, software, and network incidents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for supporting non‑technical users.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
