IT Officer / IT & Network Technician

About the role

Pelmay Global Solutions Limited is seeking a proactive IT Officer / IT & Network Technician to join its Lagos office. The role involves maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring network reliability, and managing CCTV systems across its retail and FMCG operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV camera systems and associated video management software.
• Set up, manage and troubleshoot network routers, switches and VLANs.
• Configure and monitor firewalls to safeguard network security.
• Diagnose and resolve connectivity, latency, hardware and other technical issues.
• Perform regular maintenance, updates and backups of all network equipment.
• Monitor network performance, respond to outages and security incidents promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and CCTV layouts.
• Provide general IT support to staff as needed.

Required profile

• ND or B.Sc. in Computer Science, IT, Networking or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant IT/networking experience.
• Proven experience in CCTV installation and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching (Cisco, Ubiquiti, MikroTik or similar).
• Experience with firewalls such as Sophos, pfSense, Fortinet or similar.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs.
• Ability to work independently and resolve hardware/network problems.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

• Salary range NGN 300,000 – 400,000 per month
