Insurance Sales Executive – Oil & Gas & Energy

About the role

The successful candidate will drive the marketing and development of the company's Oil & Gas and Energy insurance portfolio in Nigeria. This full‑time position focuses on identifying new clients, generating business opportunities and managing bid submissions for sector‑specific risks.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
• Prospect for potential clients and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
• Market the company's Oil & Gas/Energy insurance products to prospective and existing clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, industry stakeholders and partners.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of bids, proposals and quotations for sector risks.
• Follow up on submitted proposals to improve conversion rates.
• Conduct market research to spot emerging opportunities and industry trends.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, negotiations and business development engagements.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure client requirements are properly assessed.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, interactions, opportunities and sales activities.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or equivalent qualification; ACIIN or progress in relevant insurance exams is an advantage.
• Minimum two years’ experience, preferably in insurance marketing, Oil & Gas or Energy business.
• Good knowledge of the insurance industry and strong business development skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management abilities.
