Instrumentation Manager

About the role

As an Instrumentation Manager you will ensure manufacturing operations run safely, efficiently and reliably. You will lead world‑class instrumentation and automation practices to improve equipment performance and support products trusted by millions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive equipment reliability and instrumentation performance to meet production and quality targets.
• Lead maintenance and automation programmes that boost equipment availability and process efficiency.
• Build and develop a high‑performing technical team, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.
• Champion safe working practices and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Partner with engineering, production and support functions to solve complex technical challenges.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands‑on experience with automation systems and instrumentation technologies.
• Proven experience leading instrumentation teams in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on practical solutions.
• Ability to manage technical projects, drive cost‑saving initiatives and deliver continuous improvement.

Required skills

• PLC, SCADA, HMI, VFD, Servo
• Profibus, Modbus, IP‑based communication protocols
• Automation systems and instrumentation technologies
• Microsoft Office and PLC software
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and P&I diagrams
