Industrial Automation Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Automation Technician to join our manufacturing team in Lagos. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing automation systems that drive our beverage production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on PLC, HMI, SCADA and related automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults in industrial networks, sensors, actuators and control panels to minimise downtime.
• Install, configure, calibrate and commission new automation hardware and control systems.
• Monitor equipment performance, conduct routine inspections and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Support maintenance of filling, bottling, packaging, labeling, conveyor and palletising machinery.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation or a related engineering field.
• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in a beverage manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and VFDs.
• Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, networks, sensors and actuators.
• Experience in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to install, configure, calibrate and commission automation equipment.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnosing automation system failures.
