Human Resources Intern

About the role

Gabtar Investment Ltd is looking for a Human Resources Intern in Lagos, Marina. The intern supports the HR team across recruitment, onboarding, records and administration, and is expected to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in recruitment activities, including job postings, CV screening, interview scheduling and candidate communication
• Support onboarding and orientation of new employees
• Maintain and update employee records, files and HR databases
• Help prepare HR documents such as offer letters, contracts and memos
• Assist in coordinating training programs and employee development activities
• Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations
• Handle general HR administrative duties

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field
• Basic understanding of HR principles and labor laws
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Willingness to learn, attention to detail and a positive attitude

Required skills

• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Good written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
