Human Resources (HR) Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Human Resources Officer to manage day‑to‑day HR operations. The role requires solid knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, HR best practices and statutory compliance, and will support talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management and more.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and talent pipeline development.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases and organisational charts.
• Serve as primary contact for employee relations, handling grievances, disciplinary actions and engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate performance appraisal processes, monitor KPIs and support improvement plans.
• Identify training needs, organise internal and external learning programmes and track effectiveness.
• Prepare payroll inputs, administer leave, attendance and benefits in liaison with Finance.
• Ensure compliance with the Nigerian Labour Act and related statutes, update HR policies and support audits.
• Produce monthly HR reports and workforce analytics to aid strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant HR experience, covering recruitment, administration and compliance.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, PHRi, CIPD) is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian labour legislation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end HR operations in an on‑site environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with HRIS or payroll software.
