HR Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an organized HR Assistant to support the human resources function at St. Saviour's School Ikoyi. The role involves maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with payroll and recruitment, and ensuring smooth administration of staff training and onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update both paper and electronic HR records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Enter new starter, training, appraisal, attendance, and leaver information into the SageHR system.
• Prepare monthly payroll spreadsheets and communicate changes in staffing or pay.
• Support recruitment activities, including pre‑employment checks and interview coordination.
• Handle general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and photocopying.
• Organise and notify staff of first‑aid, fire safety, and other mandatory training sessions.
• Update the Staff Handbook with policy changes and manage staff induction processes.
• Process leavers, archive files, and generate relevant correspondence.
• Assist the HR Manager and Head Teacher with ad‑hoc tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant HR experience.
• A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Required skills

• SageHR (HR information system) proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data handling and payroll reporting.

What we offer

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from NGN 400,000 to NGN 600,000.
