Home Tutor for JSS 1 Student in Agege, Lagos

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated home tutor to provide one‑on‑one lessons for a JSS 1 student in Agege, Lagos. The tutor will work at the client’s residence, delivering focused instruction in Mathematics and English Language.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 2‑hour tutoring sessions on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.
• Follow the Nigerian Curriculum for JSS 1 level.
• Help the student catch up on missed concepts and improve academic performance.
• Encourage a positive attitude and foster confidence in learning.

Required profile

• Experience teaching JSS 1 or equivalent secondary school students.
• Ability to adapt lessons to a student who is currently falling behind.
• Patience and strong communication skills to address stubborn behavior.

Required skills

• Proficiency in General Mathematics for junior secondary level.
• Proficiency in English Language instruction.
