Head, Business Continuity Management

About the role

The Head of Business Continuity Management will lead the enterprise BCM function, embedding a best‑in‑class continuity culture across Dangote Industries Limited. The role ensures the implementation of the Group’s BCM framework, advises senior management on threats, and drives awareness and preparedness throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and audit a robust Enterprise Business Continuity Management governance framework aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Provide daily updates on emerging threats and vulnerabilities to the Group Chief Risk Officer (GCRO) and ensure timely mitigation.
• Oversee the creation, versioning and maintenance of all BCM documentation, including plans, emergency procedures, call trees and test results.
• Lead crisis management during business interruptions, produce status reports and ensure incidents are reported within one hour.
• Coordinate and execute business continuity testing, backup verification and audit readiness across all functions.

Required profile

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Risk, Insurance, IT or Engineering; Master’s degree or professional qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in risk management, insurance or engineering within manufacturing or financial services.
• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.
