Group Executive Director

About the role

The Group Executive Director will shape and execute the long‑term strategic vision for Bridgemead Advisory, driving growth across multiple subsidiaries. This senior leader will lead transformation initiatives, market expansion, and high‑value partnerships while reporting directly to the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Group’s strategic plan, annual business plans and enterprise‑wide transformation programmes.
• Identify new market opportunities, lead regional expansion, and create strategic partnerships, joint ventures and revenue diversification initiatives.
• Oversee mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, investment evaluations, commercial due diligence, negotiations and post‑merger integration.
• Set strategic KPIs, monitor execution across subsidiaries, optimise portfolio allocation and provide performance reports to Executive Management and the Board.
• Build a market intelligence function through industry analysis, competitive benchmarking and market research.
• Maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators, investors, development finance institutions and international partners.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing Strategy & Business Development team, fostering innovation and succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Management or related field.
• MBA in Strategy, Finance, Economics, International Business, Industrial Management or related discipline (required).
• Professional certifications such as CIoD, CFA, CIMA, PMP are highly desirable.
• 12–20 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 10 years in executive strategy, corporate development, business development, investment management or corporate planning.
• Proven experience in manufacturing, steel, mining, infrastructure, industrial production, energy or conglomerates, with strong exposure to business transformation, M&A, multi‑business operations, African market expansion, investor relations and capital raising.
