General Manager Telecom

About the role

The General Manager Telecom will provide strategic and operational leadership for our network infrastructure, technical projects and vendor relationships. This senior role oversees service delivery, ensures high‑availability of telecom services and drives continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of core network infrastructure.
• Manage technical projects, coordinate with vendors and ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee network monitoring, incident response and service level compliance.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and best practices.
• Mentor and manage the technical team to achieve performance targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom/network management.
• Senior‑level professional with a degree in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of ISP technologies and routing protocols.
• Hands‑on experience with network monitoring tools such as PRTG.

Required skills

• CCNA (required) and CCNP or equivalent advanced networking certification (preferred).
• Proficiency with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, IP addressing, DNS and DHCP.
• Deep understanding of IPSEC, HSRP, 802.11, QoS and TCP/IP.
• Experience with SNMP, packet analysers and other monitoring technologies.
• Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers.
