Fine Art Painter

About the role

Holy Grub NG is seeking a creative Fine Art Painter to produce original artworks for commissions, galleries and commercial projects. This part‑time position offers the chance to work on diverse themes while maintaining a high professional standard.

Key responsibilities

• Create original paintings using acrylic, oil, watercolour or mixed media.
• Develop concepts, sketches, compositions and colour palettes before final execution.
• Interpret client briefs, themes or project requirements and incorporate feedback.
• Prepare canvases, boards, paints, brushes and other materials.
• Apply techniques to achieve desired textures, depth and visual effects.
• Research artistic styles, contemporary trends and relevant subjects.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workspace.
• Document completed artwork for portfolios, exhibitions or promotional use.
• Meet agreed deadlines for commissioned pieces.
• Collaborate with clients, galleries, designers and other creative professionals as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a fine‑art painter or similar creative role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of artworks.
• Understanding of colour theory, composition, perspective, proportion and light/shadow.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Formal education in fine art or visual arts is desirable but not mandatory.
