Creative Fashion Designer / Illustrator

About the role

We are looking for a Creative Fashion Designer / Illustrator to develop original concepts, illustrations and collections for our women’s wear line. The role combines trend research, design development and close collaboration with production teams to bring fresh, market‑ready designs to life.

Key responsibilities

• Research fashion, cultural, consumer, colour, fabric and silhouette trends relevant to the brand.
• Develop original concepts, mood boards, colour stories, prints and seasonal or capsule collections.
• Create hand‑drawn or digital fashion illustrations showing garment silhouette, construction intent and key details.
• Prepare technical flats, design notes, fabric recommendations, trims, measurements and other specifications for pattern cutters.
• Translate creative ideas into commercially realistic designs that meet cost, skill, material and delivery constraints.
• Collaborate with corset specialists, tailors, pattern cutters, stylists and management from concept through sample approval.
• Participate in fabric sourcing and evaluate drape, weight, durability, stretch, colour and comfort.
• Review samples and fittings, identify issues and issue clear corrections while protecting the original concept.

Required profile

• Training in Fashion Design, Fine Art, Illustration, Garment Technology or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Strong portfolio showing original women’s wear concepts, fashion illustration and finished garments.
• Ability to accept feedback, revise designs, manage multiple briefs and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work at the assigned location (Berger or Abule Egba).

Required skills

• Excellent hand‑sketching ability.
• Competence with digital design tools (illustration software).
• Working knowledge of garment construction, pattern development, textiles, fit, colour and production processes.
