Field Service Engineer (Solar Energy) – Kwara

About the role

We are seeking skilled Field Service Engineers to ensure energy uptime across our solar hubs in Nigeria. The role involves traveling to sites, monitoring systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting the setup of new hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure energy uptime and power availability at sites by monitoring systems and quickly diagnosing and solving technical issues.
• Support the setup of new hubs, ensure connectivity, and perform routine hub energy system maintenance, either on‑site or remotely.
• Oversee installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated equipment.
• Collaborate with Jaza Stars and the data team to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
• Document field activities and maintain accurate hub equipment and component inventory records.
• Prepare regular reports on hub health and technical issues for the Regional Service Engineer.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in installing or ensuring uptime of energy systems, including diesel and solar.
• Minimum 2–3 years of technical/engineering experience in telecommunications, energy, or related sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to implement solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with HSE standards.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
• Passion for increasing energy access.
