Export Officer – International Trade Documentation

About the role

The Export Officer will manage all export-related documentation and ensure compliance with international trade regulations. You will act as the primary liaison between customers, customs authorities, and logistics teams to facilitate smooth export operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and manage export documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with international regulations and company policies.
• Stay updated on export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
• Collaborate with customs agents and authorities to resolve issues and secure customs clearance.
• Coordinate with shipping and logistics teams to schedule and monitor transportation of goods.
• Serve as point of contact for customers regarding export documentation queries.
• Identify and implement improvements in export processes and documentation systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in export documentation and processing.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Certification in Export/Import Compliance or related field.
• Multilingual abilities for communication with international clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced use of MS Office.
• Experience with customs software.
