Entry-Level Business Development Officer

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious entry‑level Business Development Officer to join our growing team in Lagos. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career professionals who want to develop skills in business development, sales and client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Research potential clients, markets and business opportunities.
• Generate leads through calls, emails, social media and other channels.
• Contact prospective clients and introduce our products/services.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Assist with preparing proposals, presentations and business development materials.
• Follow up with leads and maintain accurate records of business development activities.
• Support the team in achieving business development and sales targets.
• Monitor market trends and identify potential opportunities for growth.
• Attend client meetings, networking events and other business development activities as required.

Required profile

• A degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Economics, Communications or a related field (other degrees considered).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence speaking with people and building professional relationships.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.
• A proactive, positive and willing‑to‑learn attitude.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Genuine interest in business development, sales and commercial growth.
