Director of Training (Volunteer)

About the role

The Director of Training (Volunteer) will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of training programmes for educators, school administrators and corporate clients. Based in Awka with hybrid work flexibility, the role combines curriculum development, trainer mentorship and performance monitoring to support the company’s educational technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assess training needs and develop structured learning pathways for digital skills and educational technology.
• Create training materials, resources and schedules for both in‑person and virtual delivery.
• Mentor trainers and facilitators, ensuring high‑quality instructional delivery.
• Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, metrics and performance data.
• Collaborate with leadership and project teams to align training initiatives with organisational goals and client requirements.
• Support grant or project proposals with detailed training plans.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in curriculum development and training design, preferably in an education or technology context.
• Experience delivering employee and educator training, including workshops and coaching.
• Ability to manage training budgets and optimise resource use.
• Strong instructional design, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Leadership experience coordinating trainers and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable with both onsite and remote collaboration.

Required skills

• Familiarity with e‑learning platforms.
• Experience using learning management systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
