Coverage Head – North West

About the role

The Coverage Head, North West will lead the optimisation of the distribution and client coverage network for PPB AR, aligning physical infrastructure with client value propositions and driving digital migration. This senior commercial banking position is responsible for translating strategic goals into measurable business plans and delivering profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise physical infrastructure such as ATMs and agency banking, focusing on cost efficiency and digital migration.
• Create and execute strategic coverage plans, portfolio objectives and client‑growth initiatives.
• Drive revenue, profitability, deposits, assets and foreign‑exchange targets across the region.
• Establish performance scorecards, accountability frameworks and monitor execution against budget.
• Lead senior engagement with strategic clients and provide executive sponsorship for priority relationships.
• Coordinate integrated solutions across lending, trade finance, treasury, insurance, cash management and digital banking.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory, AML/CFT, sanctions, KYC and conduct standards.
• Champion adoption of digital tools, CRM platforms and sales‑effectiveness initiatives.
• Build high‑performing teams through coaching, succession planning and talent management.

Required profile

• First degree in Business/Commerce; postgraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Executive Leadership Programme or equivalent leadership certification.
• 12+ years progressive experience in Commercial, Corporate or Business Banking with extensive client‑coverage responsibility.
• 10+ years relationship management and portfolio growth experience.
• 5+ years experience leading managers or multi‑layered coverage teams.
• 5+ years credit risk management, portfolio governance and balance‑sheet oversight.
• Executive stakeholder engagement and strategic business leadership experience.
• Professional banking qualification; credit risk qualification; regulatory fit‑and‑proper accreditation.
