Civil Engineer – Structural Design (Mid Level)

About the role

Homik Engineering Limited is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer to join its Energy & Utilities team in Lagos. The role focuses on delivering civil and structural engineering solutions for both offshore and onshore facilities, from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Develop civil and structural deliverables during Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design phases.
• Perform analysis and design of platforms, jackets, topsides, pipe racks, foundations, buildings, substations and related structures.
• Prepare design criteria, Basis of Design documents and technical specifications.
• Calculate loads (dead, live, wind, seismic, wave, current, blast) and assess structural integrity.
• Design foundation systems, review geotechnical reports and define foundation requirements.
• Support feasibility studies, plot‑plan optimisation and CAPEX estimation.
• Produce structural drawings, calculations, material take‑offs and scope of work documents.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation and HSE disciplines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience.
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience with offshore and onshore facility design.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary EPC/EPCIC projects.
