Civil Engineer

About the role

Seal Energy is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join its construction team in Lagos. The role involves planning, designing and overseeing civil engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet technical, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs and cost estimates.
• Conduct site surveys, measurements and assessments to define project requirements.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors and site personnel to ensure work follows approved plans.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and project specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors and other stakeholders.
• Inspect construction materials and workmanship to verify quality standards.
• Identify technical issues on site and propose practical engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical documents.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Willingness to work on construction sites and travel as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering/design software.
