About the role
The Business Development Officer will grow and develop insurance income for the business, delivering profitable revenue streams both within and outside the Stanbic IBTC Group. The role ensures effective cross‑selling of insurance products across all major product lines and executes the regional sales strategy to meet revenue targets through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Grow and develop insurance income for the business.
- Deliver profitable revenue streams from within and outside the Stanbic IBTC Group.
- Ensure effective cross‑selling of insurance products and services across all major product lines.
- Execute the regional sales strategy to achieve revenue goals and targets.
- Engage with both external and internal stakeholders to drive business growth.
Required profile
- First degree in any related discipline.
- 5‑7 years post‑NYSC experience.
- Experience in financial services is an added advantage.
- Proven experience in cross‑selling insurance products and services across major product lines.
- Behavioural competencies: establishing rapport, articulating information, generating ideas, convincing people, exploring possibilities.
- Technical competencies: active listening, effective business communication, query resolution, customer‑focused innovation, driving delivery of results.
