Business Development Officer – Broker's Market

About the role

The Business Development Officer will lead the growth of the securities trading business across brokerage, sales and investor services. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines strategic planning, market expansion and client relationship management to drive profitability and market positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company‑wide performance against profit, balance‑sheet and market‑share targets.
• Oversee all securities dealing activities, increasing trading volume and revenue on equity and fixed‑income instruments.
• Prepare performance reports, benchmarking data and manage the corporate performance framework.
• Develop and execute business and marketing strategies to expand existing portfolios and capture new opportunities.
• Lead sales and distribution of fundraising mandates and transactions.
• Maintain compliance with internal risk policies, legal standards and local regulations.
• Build transparent relationships with external experts, partners and regulatory authorities.
• Formulate strategic initiatives, align departmental goals and allocate resources to support sustainable growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• MSc or MBA in Finance (preferred).
• Chartered Stockbroker, Authorized Dealing Clerk and SEC‑sponsored individual status.
• Minimum five years in executive leadership and ten years of overall industry experience.
• Proven experience in equity and fixed‑income trading and a solid understanding of capital‑market operations.
• Strong leadership, integrity and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
